Lifelong Training…

Great story on Peter Snell – very famous Kiwi and Olympic runner, gold medalist etc….

The general decline in fitness and increase in obesity with the
associated risks of stroke, diabetes and hypertension were poised to
take a grim toll unless the declining level of physical activity was
reversed.

“It is really true,” he said. “Lifelong training is
the fountain of youth. I’m 68 years old and I don’t plan to retire for
quite some time yet.”

Thanks to Michael for flagging…

That is truly a great story…obesity and hypertension are striking even 20-30
year old kids nowadays! So it is inspiring to read Peter Snell’s story.
