Question…

If anyone can point me to great books being written as blogs or blogs as books I’d love some pointers.

Not exactly a blog, but management guru Charles Leadbeater has put his next book online and is asking for comments on each chapter before it is published.

Particularly apt as the book is about the collaboration culture.

I don’t know about great but I am writing the update of Online PR for Kogan Page – due in July next.

Are you looking for current books being written or past books? Tom Evslin’s Hackoff.com is a great example of using a blog and podcast to write and promote a book.

PostSecret is another type of book being compiled on a blog: https://postsecret.blogspot.com/

Chris Anderson did most of his research via his blog for The Long Tail, though he has said that only about 5% of the blog content made it into the book.

There are a lot more that escape me at the moment. I’ll submit another comment when they come to mind.

I’m writing my book and blogging about it as well. I’m following the Naked Conversations model and putting sample chapters up as well.

Yeah, I’ve been a bit off the writing pace of late … but it’s been a busy summer.
